I have MC floorboards on my Aero. They sit further out from the frame compared to Cobra floorboards. I always had problems shifting as the short shift peg is a reach from the floorboard. I moved my foot inwards to get at the peg. I solved this by removing the stock peg.
Using a dremel tool with a cutoff blade I chopped off the stock peg stud.
The stock stud is sold steel and took me 2 blades to remove it.
Drill a 5/24 hole into the shift peg
Bolt on the Harley shift peg, use a lock washer and “blue” loctite.
